My art-making is a collection of images that aim to translate the duality of cultures and experiences. I have experienced the dynamics of what different art mediums have allowed me to express. I use digital art to help me collect my ideas, I use these to create vibrant collages of layered surreal settings that inspire my paintings. Art is very important to me because it gives me the tools to express and process information in ways the written and spoken word can’t. Art has a way to connect with the world without any language barriers. I see my work as interpretations of what and who I am as a mother, a student, a wife, a daughter, an immigrant, a friend, etc. I use painting as a self-discovery tool, I use it to process my environment. I have learned about nor only the artist’s process and intent but also what the viewer brings to the experience.
